The USHERS of New Rising Star Church are a group of born-again believers. They are a group dedicated and devoted to service.

We have three adult units, one combined unit, and a youth unit. The combined group serves on the fifth Sunday of the month, when there is one. We are a service group whose task is to provide members and visitors a great first impression of the personality and spirit of our church. Our charge is to assist the Pastor in whatever way we can to enhance the worship experience. We do this by meeting, greeting, and seating everyone with politeness and smiles. We move about the sanctuary reverently, by systematic signs and signals in order to minimize distractions with our movements.

It is our aim to witness to others when and where we can, and while on duty, maintain order in the sanctuary and to observe throughout the entire service to see if any assistance is needed by anyone in the congregation. We are servants of the Lord.

General Ushers Meeting is held on the first Saturday of each month beginning at 12:00 noon.
