Youth Ministry * "YOUTH on the MOVE!" * Antonio Porter, Sr. - Youth Director

Our YOUTH meet every Saturday before the third Sunday for general meeting, choir rehearsal, ushers, and recreational outings. Youth Bible study and fellowship is held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.

"Youth Praise & Worship" Ages (6-17) meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday. The YOUTH have their own order of worship, and one of the associate ministers delivers the WORD on a level suitable for young people. This program gives the YOUTH a chance to learn proper behavior, etc., for worship in the main sanctuary. The YOUTH have their own "Order of Worship", different Bible activities, games, and snacks. The main focus of the "Youth Praise and Worship" activities is (1) the plan of salvation (2) the meaning of Communion, and as stated earlier (3) proper behavior for worship.

Every 3rd Sunday is "Youth Sunday." The YOUTH are in charge of worship in the main sanctuary. The Cherubim and YOUTH Choir (See Music Ministry) provide the music, and the YOUTH ushers serve. They are responsible for the receipt of the offering(s), announcements, and the visitors' welcome. This gives the general church an opportunity to see the results of their participation in "Youth Praise and Worship" and is also an opportunity for the YOUTH to demonstrate their growth in relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Nursery services are provided for those children 5 years old and under. The nursery is directed by Sis. Essie Pruitt. Tender loving care is provided for the small ones during worship service. (Bible Study, Recreation, Nap Time, and Snacks)
